The curriculum brings together solution-focused work, hypnosis, CBT-informed principles, mindfulness, therapeutic communication and safe clinical practice.

You'll build practical confidence through exercises, reflection and assessed work between modules. Exact qualification award arrangements, professional-body membership criteria and insurance requirements should always be confirmed with the provider.

Your region, your opportunity

Welcoming students from South & West Wales

Caerphilly is our South Wales teaching base. Many students are happy to travel for a practical weekend course, so our information is designed for people across a broad regional catchment rather than those who live next door.

Cardiff & the Vale

Cardiff, Penarth, Barry, Cowbridge, Llantrisant and nearby communities.

Caerphilly offers a South Wales base for students who want weekend, face-to-face training without travelling across the country.

Newport & Gwent

Newport, Cwmbran, Pontypool, Abergavenny, Ebbw Vale and the surrounding valleys.

A practical venue for learners from eastern South Wales and Monmouthshire.

The South Wales Valleys

Pontypridd, Caerphilly, Merthyr Tydfil, Aberdare, Blackwood, Bargoed and Rhondda Cynon Taf.

A welcoming learning community within the Valleys, with space for repeated practical learning.

Bridgend & Swansea Bay

Bridgend, Porthcawl, Swansea, Neath and Port Talbot.

For students travelling west along the M4 corridor, our monthly format may make travel easier to plan.

West Wales & beyond

Carmarthen, Llanelli, Ammanford, Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion.

Students travelling further may prefer to stay overnight locally on training weekends; check the journey before booking.

Across the Severn

Bristol, Weston-super-Mare, Bath and the surrounding South West.

The course also welcomes learners travelling from across the border, provided the weekend journey is workable.

Our marketing area extends approximately 100 miles around Caerphilly, but road journeys differ considerably. Not every place named is within a 100-mile driving route. Check Google Maps for your own journey; the course welcomes students from farther afield too.

Your training location

Caerphilly Miners Centre.
A place with community at its heart.

Our weekend course takes place at The Miners, a restored former miners' hospital and an active community and wellbeing hub on Watford Road in Caerphilly.

The community venue features a café, garden spaces and facilities used by a range of local organisations. Confirm parking arrangements, accessibility needs and on-the-day room information directly before travelling.
